TRUSTED LAB TEST
A combination of three of the most popular Manuka honey tests (MGO, DHA & HMF) all done as one analysis using Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC).
MGO, DHA, HMF are all labelled on our honey 500g & 1000g variety .
Each batch of our honey is tested prior to packing to ensure the best quality.
These main sectors we test for: MGO (Methylglyoxal) & NPA (Non Peroxide Activity), in simple term, they are a direct measure of the Anti-bacterial level that naturally occurs in Manuka honey. DHA, (dihydroxyacetone) is one of the lesser-known bioactive ingredients of pure Manuka honey. This is a very unique molecule and is part of the verification process of certifying genuine Manuka honey. HMF (HydroxyMethylFurfuraldehyde) is used as an indicator of heat and storage changes in honey, HMF occurs naturally in most honeys and usually increases with the age and heat treatment of honey.
All testing are done by independent laboratories to comply with New Zealand and international standards.
